On June 1, Wang Zhonglin, Deputy Secretary of Hubei Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Hubei Province, went to Optics Valley Tongji Children's Hospital for investigation. Wuhan Mayor Cheng Yongwen, Huazhong University of Science and Technology Party Secretary Li Yuanyuan, President You Zheng, and relevant leaders of China State Construction Engineering Corporation(CSCEC) accompanied the visit.
The Optics Valley Tongji Children's Hospital, undertaken by CSCEC, which is an important part of the National Medical Center for Major Public Health Events. Construction started on July 22, 2020 and will be completed in July 1st this year.
Governor Wang Zhonglin listened carefully to the introduction of the hospital's construction at the scene, inspected the intelligent track vehicle system and pneumatic tube system, children's ward and emergency room.

The intelligent logistics system of Optics Valley Tongji Children's Hospital consists of a track vehicle system and a pneumatic tube system, with 32 stations respectively set up to realize the automatic delivery of medicines, specimens and other items.
